Goodbye Mr. Rickman

Alan Rickman has died. The man with the velvet voice was 69 and battling cancer. A versatile actor, Rickman played complex characters ranging from the awkward, earnest Colonel Brandon to his famous portrayal of the testy but quietly heroic Professor Snape. Because he was a first and foremost an actor, to honor of his life and passing I have picked some of my favorite of his roles to highlight and remember him by.

In Love Actually as Harry.

In Harry Potter as Snape.

In Galaxy Quest as Alexander.

In Sense and Sensibility as Colonel Brandon.

Rest in peace Mr. Rickman, like all great artists, you are immortal in your work. You will be missed.
